BEHIND THE MUSIC
An award-winning Country/Americana singer/songwriter, with multiple nominations for both Artist and Vocalist of the Year, including being named the 2021 Georgia Country Awards Male Artist of The Year, following being a top-six finalist in 2020. Levi Moore presents his music with an easy, straightforward style and a smoothly honest baritone voice. As a writer, the sincerity in his often introspective songs can be traced back to legends like Alan Jackson and Gordon Lightfoot.
Born in Georgia, and raised mostly in the south, Levi grew up on a ranching lifestyle. He played football at Missouri State, graduating with a B.S. degree in Animal Science. Shortly after graduation, he went to work in the oilfields in Arkansas and Oklahoma, writing songs and performing at occasional open mics. Three years later, Levi moved back to Georgia and launched himself headfirst into his music career. Drawing from his varied background, he writes honestly, pulling stories and emotions both from his experiences and those of the people he has worked alongside.
A natural storyteller, Levi’s history allows him to easily blend philosophical questions with the abruptness of real life. He delivers his lyrics with a deep voice, early on being compared to Josh Turner and Trace Adkins, but now developing a raw edginess that lends him a unique style.
As a performer, his shows consist of a well-rounded and personally tailored mix of both old and new country, a healthy dose of classic and contemporary Americana artists, and easily recognizable singer/songwriters ranging from Jason Isbell to Jim Croce, as well as the occasional pop and top-40 covers, all of which bear his own unique musical arrangement and vocal stylings.
